The Coquitlam RCMP has announced the approval of charges related to a series of sexual assaults that occurred in the community in December of 2024.
On January 28, 2025, the BC Prosecution Service approved nine counts of sexual assault against 25-year-old Daniel Landy of Maple Ridge. Landy is accused of having committed sexual assaults against nine separate people between December 4 and December 7, 2024. He was arrested on December 8, 2024.
Landy’s sexual assault allegations relate to inappropriate touching of persons as they walked in public areas of Coquitlam.
“Coquitlam RCMP is thanking the numerous complainants for coming forward which helped investigators to expediently identify and arrest a suspect,” said Constable John Graham. Our top priority is public safety. “We continue to ask anyone further who may have witnessed these incidents or may have experienced a similar incident to contact our investigators.”
