Port Coquitlam is set to kick off its third annual pothole repair blitz, weather permitting, from March 4 to 6, the city said in a press release.
Two City crews, eight people, will work from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. daily. In addition to pothole repairs, they will conduct gravel shoulder maintenance. “Maintaining infrastructure is a fundamental responsibility. This blitz ensures safe, efficient roads while making the best use of taxpayer dollars,” said Mayor Brad West.
The city has fixed 40 potholes since January. With mild, dry weather expected, crews aim to complete repairs efficiently. Drivers and cyclists should anticipate minor delays and are urged to respect work zones.
Potholes are typically repaired within four days of being reported. When many potholes require attention, repairs are prioritized based on size and location, with major roads receiving priority.
Residents are encouraged to report potholes online at portcoquitlam.ca/report. MResidents can also use Mobile App: PoCo Sort and Report app and call at 604.927.3111.
