Port Moody Police are requesting the public’s assistance identifying two break-in suspects.
On February 25, 2025, just after 4 a.m., a Newport Village shop was the target of a break-and-enter. CCTV footage depicts two suspects forcing entry into the business using a crowbar, then departing in less than a minute. The suspects made off with what is estimated to be $10,000 worth of product. Frontline officers were later called to the scene and are investigating.
In the video, the suspects are seen wearing dark clothing and wearing gloves and masks. One suspect is heavy set, and the other is medium build. Of particular note, audio captured the suspects speaking Farsi to each other.
“Folks in the area may have heard or seen something unusual in Newport Village Tuesday morning that could assist us with our investigation and we ask that they reach out to us” states Constable Sam Zacharias, adding that “someone likely knows who these individuals are and is also encouraged to contact us, or Crime Stoppers if they wish to remain anonymous.”
